About Me

Hi, I'm Bin Lin.

From September 2022, I am an assistant professor in the Software Science Group of Radboud University. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the REVEAL and SEART research groups of Software Institute at USI - Università della Svizzera italiana, Switzerland.

Education

I obtained my Ph.D. degree in 2020 from Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI), Switzerland, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gabriele Bavota and Prof. Dr. Michele Lanza. Before that, I earned my master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Alexander Serebrenik at Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands in 2016. I got my bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering at South China University of Technology, China in July 2014.

Research

My interests span a wide range of fields in software engineering. Specific topics include program comprehension, mining software repositories, software evolution, refactoring, and human aspects of software engineering.
